Kia Orahi

Here at Paihia School we have been training for Kia Orahi. On Wednesday  selected students got the opportunity to go to Simpson park to participate in Kia Orahi. We got split into our year groups, year 6 and year 7-8’s. Once we first arrived at Simpson Park we were greeted by all of the different schools and K.C which is a Kia Orahi influencer. K.C is also apart of the Kia Orahi team. We first started the day by doing a karakia and singing a few waita. Our first game of Kia Orahi was very challenging because we had to verse year 7 and 8’s but we did not give up and we tried our hardest. Once we had finished our first game we decided to go and watch the year 7 and 8s and see if we can take notes from them and  see what we can change next game. I had so much fun at Kia Orahi. Hopefully we get another chance to go back and play again.
