Kaikohe Cultral Festival Dress Rehearsal
On Tuesday Paihia Schools kapa haka roopu wanted to participate in the Kaikohe cultural festival, but first we had to come up with a bracket that we were able to take to the dress rehearsals. The dress rehearsal took place at the Kaikohe memorial hall. The kapa haka roopu was so excited to see all of the other performances. Once we arrived we felt excited but nervous even though we knew that we came here for dress rehearsals (Practices). We saw so many schools from around the far north. After we had finished our bracket we all felt so proud of one another. A dress rehearsal is when all of the roopu join together and share what they have been working hard for. I hope to see more schools and see what can inspire our roopu.

Kia ora Nevaeh it’s Ataahua. I really enjoyed your post about Kapa haka. I liked the way you added what you found fun and challenging. You also added a lot of description of what happened, it sounded like fun. It brought me back when we do kapa haka and do all the singing.
