Matariki

In term 2 Te Maunga and Te Tahuna went down to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds for Matariki. We played Maui Matau and also Mu Torere we also planted and I planted a fern. I learnt different maori games and I also learnt how to play them I even got taught how to weave fish which was really cool and I found out that Matariki means Maori New Year. We went to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn about Matariki and how it is celebrated. I really wish we can go next year.
