Talent Show

On Friday Paihia school had talent show happening after morning tea, lots of kids had entered the talent quest. Everyone was so excited for the talent show, the people who had entered the talent show has been practicing for so long. Just as we heard the bell ring we realised that it was time to go into the whare. as we were walking into the whare we sat down quietly waiting for everyone to be silent. Just as we heard Mrs Lindsey call up the first act everybody sat still waiting for the first act. The first person was Vaughn and he was telling us lots of funny jokes. just as Vaughn finished all of his joke we were all expecting more jokes because they were so funny, As most people finished their act there was one more performance, The last act was a dance performed by Jade, Vanya, Mikaila, Breeze, Jorjah and also Isabella-paige, Throughout the talent quest it was easy to tell that everyone put lots of effort in their act and their costumes. Hopefully next year we have a Talent show because this year was super fun.

Robett

On Monday the 11th of March, Te Ngahere was joined by a man named robett. He was talking to us about choosing the right choices in life, After he spoke to us  about his personal life he gave us some questions to try and answer. He told us that if surround yourself with negative people you will follow along and choose the negative path, but If you think before you follow you have a chance to roll with positive people that do the right thing. I really enjoyed how robett gave us motivational advice to roll with positive people.

Magician

On Wednesday the 27th of february, The year 7 and 8’s went to tech (technology) While the rest of the school had a special show called Be Bright Eat Right going on throughout the morning, as we saw other classes walking to the whare we knew it was time to watch some magic. Once we got to the whare we sat down and waited for the magician to get ready. Everyone was so excited to see a professional magician perform at our school, After everyone was comfortable and ready he started by introducing himself, he mentioned his name was Vas. The first trick Vas performed was turning a cloth into a bird, I was so shocked how he turned the white cloth into a bird. He performed a few other tricks but as he finished the last trick everyone was sad because he had to go. I really enjoyed how Vas included lots of animals into his act. I really hope Vas comes back and performs even more magic tricks
